It seems like we are doing a LOT of house painting in Midland right now. The job we are currently working on has us painting on some old 70's wood paneling. The client didn't want to tear it all down and put up drywall, that just wasn't in their budget right now. So, we've lightened up the walls with some interior paint, after applying some primer, and the living spaces look amazing.
We painted the ceilings, which are all tiled and had discoloured. The living room got painted, including the trim around the windows. The room feels so much bigger now! The entrance way and long but thin hallway to the bedrooms also got it's dark wood paneling painted, and the front closet door changed out. It feels like a grand entrance way now. We also installed trim along the floor, and it's given all the rooms an amazing update. Currently we are working on the small dining room in this home. I can't wait to see how bright it is and how big it feels when the sun shines in. We helped the client choose complimentary colours for the wall, trim and made sure they got the correct kind of paint for rolling on the ceiling. We helped them find the best deal on a quality paint, too. That goes beyond what a normal house painter would do, but this customer needed the extra help, and we were happy to make sure they got what they needed and were happy with their paint colour choices. The most challenging part of any paint job is making sure every thing is taped off correctly, and that care is taken when doing the details - around doors, painting the window frames and door frames, making sure everything is covered by a drop cloth... however, working in the heat that we've had in the Midland area this week has been an extra challenge. When this job is wrapped up, We've got a few small jobs on the books. We are taking new jobs and giving quotes for jobs starting at the third week of July.
